Take an adventurous foodie route with Rockwell’s 3rd Ultimate Taste Test on September 14

Certified foodies are all set again to rejoice as Rockwell’s 3rd Ultimate Taste Test (UTT) event takes place on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Rockwell Tent, in partnership with the famous lifestyle blog Our Awesome Planet and in cooperation with San Miguel Lifestyle Brews. Enjoy a fun and delicious chance to become food critics for a day.

Have the ultimate food tasting adventure from Rockwell’s restaurants, home-based food businesses and other up-and-coming food concessionaires. Look out for curious-but-cool Choco Ampalaya Delight Cake by Amy’s Fruit and Vegetable Cakes, Truffled Tuna Crudo from BITE by Chef Jam Melchor, Premium Duck Burgers from Goldenduck’s Premium Meat Products, and Jalapeno Alfredo from Flavors on Fire Catering. Dessert and drinks like the Oatie Granolie treats by 2407 Weekend Bakery and Café, Black and White Cupcakes by Everyday Mom, plus a Green Cayenne Reboot by the Juice Barista are also up for grabs. A UTT ticket entitles foodies to a wristband and a passport to enjoy a one-time sampling from all the participating concessionaires. In line with this, foodies get to critic and rate the product on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the highest. The Top 10 highest rating participants will be featured in Our Awesome Planet and will get other exciting prizes from Power Plant Mall.

Bazaar Casa y Jardin

As the Christmas season nears, the 91 year old Catholic Women's Club(CWC) brings to you their yearly Casa y Jardin Christmas Bazaar. For more than 20 years, Casa y Jardin has brought joy to shoppers with an array of unique items and holiday treasures.. One special signature item for sale to look forward to at Casa y Jardin is the limited edition of the Mother and Child plate featuring the art work of a famous artist. This year, the work of national artist H.R. Ocampo graces the plates.

Casa y Jardin is known as the "Mother of all Bazaars" and will open its doors at the Rockwell tent on Sept. 7 to 8, 2013. From 9am to 9pm. The bazaar officers are Milo Bondoc as chairperson and Terry Tambunting, Michelle Antonio and Tess Castro as co-chairpersons.

This is a time to prepare for the gift giving joy of the season. As we join hands to make the Casa y Jardin Bazaar of the Catholic Women's Club a success, we also add more meaning to it as the funds raised are used to share with a myriad of charities such as the Home for the Aged, Elsie Gaches Village Institution, Bahay ni Maria, Ayala Alabang Hospice Care Foundation, Inc., Ang Arko ng Pilipinas, Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres, Emmaus House of Apostolate, Mother Butler Mission, Catholic Bible Society Foundation, Inc., Healing Servants Foundation, Wingless Angels of Lucena Hospice, Sinag Hospital Volunteers Foundation, Inc. among others for a total of 65 beneficiaries around the country.
